Galactonotus inhabit moist to wet rainforest and secondary forest in lowland areas in the provinces of Para and Maranhao in Brazil. Their natural habitat goes through a dry and rainy season. During the dry season they are less active and hide more, then in the rainy season the frogs will eggs. Adults are typically about 1.7 in. They have a low humming call.
